My Two Hunting dogs....

You can do both.......
Haha I know I CAN do both. It’s just a matter if I want to spend the money and time on both. I’m also a power lifter, studying for the CPA exam, have work to do on my house, kids etc...

if I lived somewhere where I could just open the door and let em run that’d be one thing, but I live in the burbs...so I’ll have to make a concerted effort toexercise the doggie.

Those are some great Looking shorthairs!! Can I ask where you got them or if you breed them? Do you duck hunt with them?

Thanks man. I know life takes over and the hunting dogs really are a ton of work the first year. These two are my second set and are strictly for pheasants and grouse. I found the breeder by accident and waited one year for the black one and when I went to pick him up the brown one was sold, but the buyer decided to not take him so I drove back out a week later and got him. The breeder stopped breeding earlier this year due to age. Just do your homework on the breeder and look for bloodline. I live in Pittsburgh and there are a lot of breeders between you and I. Just stay away from the Amish ones. I have about 3/4 acre fenced in back yard which really is key for them. If I had to pick between my tank and my shorties, I would be here selling just like you are..

Best of luck

Thank you!!

You guys have a lot of grouse in PA?

well it looks like you have a good pup. too small for the shock collar but good looking pup.
He’s a really good boy. Super smart too. He’s about 6 months now. Hasn’t chewed up anything, sits, heels, and lays down.

It’s actually a bark collar. When I would leave for work he would lose his mind, bark like crazy and get so worked up he’s go in his crate and smear it all over. I tried a bunch of things to make crate life easier for him, but nothing worked. Bark collar was a last resort, and it worked . No other ill effects that I noticed.
Due to covid I’ve been working from home pretty much full time anyway. So, he doesn’t wear it anymore.
