Considering starting over, what do i need to know

Currently have a 29g standard reef. Its mainly lps. Havent had that much time to look after it. I also hate the dimensions of the 29g for my reef. So little space. Want to upgrade to a 40g. I dont really want to buy a new overflow and equipment since i have it all in my 29g. Also dont rlly want to sell all my coral. Any thoughts. Currently its been tough for me to look at my tank when im stuck all day in my room focussed on courses and homework.

Honestly its the aptasia that really annoys me. And my rocks are usually spotless of algae but some wispy algae just appeared that none of my cuc or fish are eating

Could be bryopsis. Check Google images. That stuff is COVID-19 of algae

Its only on this one spot, it smothered out a bud that was growing near the bottom of the skeleton
