Constantly Adjusting Drain Valve

Yep. It's def something with the pump/controller. Got home and of course pipe was gurgling. Checked return line, clean as a whistle. Plugged back in and noticed the controller won't go past the 3rd LED, no matter how many times "+" is pushed. So something aint right. Woke up this morning and again gurgling. I have to close the valve down so much hardly I'm way below 10X thru sump as per Triton requirement. Time to see how good Coralvue is

I must say, SO FAR they are on point. Submitted a ticket online and they responded asking for serial number, return address proof of purchase within the hour. Then trouble shooting the impeller, so we'll see what happens. The controller is toast though so I'm hoping for a completely new unit

The controller would likely be the cheapest part for them to replace, and easiest for you to swap out.

Agreed. But everyone wants something brand new when their 19 days out of 2yr warranty. I can wish LOL. New Controller is "only" $80, but again warranty

Alright, so update. New Controller and.......same thing. Pump still seems to slow down after a couple hours to days. Still have to close the gate valve constantly. Flow is slowing down thru sump (and I'm running Triton) Coralvue wants me to send in the pump for inspection, which of course I can't do because a lack of redundancy and it's my only pump. So customer service recommends trying a new impeller to see if that fixes it. Unfortunately, the impeller warranty is only ONE year, so I'm coming out of pocket for that, but it's worth it. If that doesn't work then, plan is to just get a new return pump, then send in old one for repair/replacement, then I'll have a back up.
FYI $40 for the impeller

Interesting.
Stupid question but NOT meaning to insult... you have cleaned the pump with vinegar?
I mean total 100% disassembly and a 15-20 minute soak in 100% vinegar, then a scrub down of all parts with brushes and a solid rinsing.

You need a backup pump anyway so if it were me.
I would get the new pump, then send in the old for repair.
A: This will determine a pump issue overall.
B: Solve the issue so you don't have to keep messing and second guessing.
C: The quickest way to resolve the situation. Sorry my time is valuable and I don't have the time to keep trying this and that unless there is no options anyway.

I would forgo the impeller purchase myself.
If its not the impeller then you wasted the time and money on it.
I would let them determine if its the impeller.
Chances are they will toss that one and just send you a new unit including the impeller. They are not going to evaluate the pump.

I think this will be the quickest most economical fix.

Yep, did the full vinegar thing. I've kinda convinced myself that I'm gonna need a new pump anyway, probably go Vectra. I figure in the hobby, with $400 pumps, what's another $40-$50? Meh, expensive. At least I'll have an emergency back up if (when) needed
