Hey all. Just wanted to get some opions and comments on my plumbing job ( so far ). 1st off im bagging the traditional over flow box and trying out an H2Overflow sold by CustomAquariums. This unit is rated to handle in excess of 1200 gph. (not that i would ever need that much flow) The H2Overflow uses 1 1/2" plumbing. So let's take a tour of what i have done so far.

Back of the aquarium. The 1 1/2" is the main drain and the 1" is the emergency back up drain. ( got a little messy with the purple primer but no one will see it)

A pic of the drains inside the sump cab. 1 1/2" union plus 1 1/2" spears gate valve. Emergency drain is wide open. Keep in mind that i do not have the piping done going into the drain/ skimmer section of the sump. (aka: stand pipes below water level in sump)

Return plumbing: pump is a Ehiem 1260/ next in line is a 3/4" Spears true Union Check Valve. On top of the check valve is a 3/4" ball valve that will control the over all flow rate to the display tank. On top of the ball valve is a tee that will branch off to the left side Loc Line return. On top of the tee is another ball valve to trim the flow going to the right side Loc Line return. This right side pipe run is way shorter than the left side so the ball valve will trim the water flow to equal out the flow to both Loc Line Returns.
