Consumption? Precipitation? Or Test Noise?

I’m not sure if budget dosing pumps are the way to go. Just manual dose until you have some extra $$ saved up. Get a proper doser like the BM-T11. I just have a vision of this cheap doser dosing your tank with a liter of alk at once and us all being very sad for you :(

Ok, cool. What's your opinion Randy? As far as if I should go with Kalkwasser or 2 part dosing? Calcium Chloride? I am still very open to either kalkwasser or 2 part dosing.

Both are fine. I used limewater (kalkwasser) alone for 20 years, but also developed the diy two part that folks like BRS use.

Two part in dosing pump gives better timing control than limewater on ato.

I probably lean toward two part if setting up new, and I’d adjust the type (bicarbonate, carbonate, hydroxide, or some mix thereof) of two part used based on the daily low oH the system attained.

I don't know man the reviews for that unit are so mixed. Seem a lot of ppl have them die or the timer stops working.

Even the GHL dosing pumps have mixed reviews.

Even the Neptune Dos has mixed reviews.

Thanks for the call out! A GFCI will function without a ground.

Something I did not mention before was that the old outlet actually had a "bootleg ground". A jumper between the negative and ground screws on the back of the outlet.
This is an extremely dangerous practice. While it is true that the neutral and grounds are tied to the same point in the panel, they are run separately to the panel f0r a reason. If the neutral gets disconnected between your panel and this outlet the neutral voltage will go up to 120V. With this jumper in place it means that the metal frame of anything you have plugged into the outlet will also go to 120V.
