Does it make more sense to put the drain gate valve by the tank or the sump? Obviously it's more accessible by the sump. When you adjust the flow do you look more at the sump or the display?

I would say if you can, put it close to the display. When you’re dialing that in you’ll want to be able to see your overflow box to see what changing the valve is changing as far as water level.

My 40 gallon sump will be 20 feet away from the boiler and hot water heater. Do I need to be concerned?
