Hi all,
I have a 32 gallon Biocube on a DIY stand, drilled with two drains to a 20 Gallon sump. I'm thinking of making this a frag/growout tank for my future tank plans.
I also have a 13.5 gallon EVO that is my "reef tank".
Tried selling the Biocube and no takers...
Currently sits with tank/stand/sump/refugium light and return pump. Also 13.5 lbs Live Rock.
Question is:
What equipment would I need to buy to set this up as a frag system?
I would like to be able to grow out frags for my 13.5, and frag out of the 13.5 to continue growing small colonies for my 1-2 year tank plan [200-350 gallon tank].
Thoughts:
Light - SBReef Light basic or AI Prime HD [currently use this on my 13.5]
Rock - Buy an additional 20lbs or so and stuff it all in my sump
Filtration - Live Rock and a Chaeto Refugium in chamber 1 of my sump [no skimmer]
Dosing - Jebao 4 head doser for Ca/Alk 2-part dosing.
ATO - undecided, my ATO is being used on the 13.5 gallon currently so i'd have to purchase another
Small Clean Up crew, and maybe a 6-line if nutrients stay too low. I had issues with lack of nutrients when this tank was full of fish, so going to try without a skimmer to start.
Any other advice?
