Well my ac3 finally took a crap tonight and luckily I kept my ac jr so I have control still without the access via computer. What a night. :(
So where is the best deal on new apex ;)

Men sorry to hear that!

Once as I was away, had a slight tank over-flow (snail) take my DA out... not a good thing, so I feel your pain!

Wow sorry to hear that. I'm afraid I saw some crazy black Friday deals on Apex's but now everything seems to be back to normal. If you had this problem a week ago you probably would have been in good shape.

I already miss not looking at tank stats on my phone, makes you appreciate it for sure. Nothing bad happened, I was home and after messing with the ac3 for an hour I gave up a grabbed the old jr.
Thinking of going with the new jr w/o a display and buying an eb8 for it. Have three ph probes and two temp probes already.

How about the Puratek controller been hearing a ton of good reviews about it...

Ahh the good old days of hooking the cord to the controller and programming it. Reminds me of telephones before cell phones.

Since your already vested in the Neptune system, this is exactly what I would and am planning to do(Jr, extra eb8, pm2). I had a lite before with tons of accessories but I'm going simple this time..

I think that's the route I'm headed in. When the new "Wav" pumps come out I'll probably go ahead and retire my old streams. Then every piece of equipment that is 15+ years old will be upgraded within the last year. Maybe take a break from buying equipment for a while.

I just found my original receipt for my ac3. Feb 23 2009
Ran non stop for 15years before dying.
Here is a picture after power on it sticks on this screen.

That's a good duration. I started my new system not to long ago. I think i'm going to upgrade my lights (I really didn't want to do this) while they are on sale and then do the apex. But the apex is for sure the way to go. Without a doubt..

Then, as you said, take a break to just enjoy and smell the roses.. It's difficult sometimes with these things and what we want to do. Weighting it against all the things that you know you want to do and can do.. Lol, torn personally with it..

My life last night and this morning. Yes ac jr hooked up to my ancient laptop via serial port connected to aqua notes! For those of you who remember this and have moved on up to the easy-to-use fusion etc you feel my pain. It's kind of fun now that I re learned how to set it all again.
