As all learning experiences in this hobby go I placed this coral after a local reefer gave it to me. What are aome things I can do to control this coral? I dont want it to take over this whole rock structure. What are some corals i can put next to it? Is it easy to get encrusting coral off of a rock?

This is an option i have been kicking around im planning on pulling the frag plug that is there. Was more so looking for corals i could place next to it that would slow its growth. As this is front and center of my tank lol it is only a 40 breeder so i could possibly rework the rock but not my 1st option.

none that i can think of that will not do battle.

There was a video circulated on here where you can use a metal straw and syphon hose to scrape some of the coral off the rocks. My Mr. Freeze lepto doesn’t really attach well to the rock work and I can get a razor blade beneath it. If it’s not tight to the rock you may be able to just break it off.

if that’s a stupid comment I apologize. This is the only lepto I have so I’m not sure how to deal with them well. Just got a JF jack o lantern today.

Just pull the plug and put whatever you want near there let the lepto grow if it will, its a weak coral easy to scrape and damage if you want to completely remove with siphon tube, but most likely something with stronger war fare or extension will keep it down or kill it off save the plug it looks like a j.f Lava flow lepto
