So basically it comes down to GHL profilux 4 or neptune apex. I know apex is the biggest player in controller game in US but I don't like the look of the apex and my bro always tells me how much he hates neptunes customer service. GHL is big in europe and I love the look of the new profilux 4 but I worry about the customer service and getting parts for it if it breaks.

My question for you guys are is there anything you don't like about apex/profilux and if you can do it from scratch, would you still pick the same controller or try other brand?

That's a first that I hear your Bro doesn't have good experience with Neptune CS.
Many ppl on hear can tell you different and Neptune has it's own forum here that is pretty active with helping out hobbyist on questions and issues.
GHL customer service in the US is great as well and they also have a pretty active page here on R2R.
Check it out yourself,

As to what I think about a controller, I do have the Neptune and if it is better than GHL well you have to find out by research.
But I do love my APEX for the last 8 years.

I use both and I get good service if needed by both. I love the GHL because it is more expandable in use so it is my preferred choice as I can expand one unit to work on many different tanks. Support you have get Marco and Vinny go out of their way to work with any issue. Marco is a computer network guru and Vinny know the programming well.

I have the GHL, but don't have it setup yet...hopefully that's my project for this weekend! But I did a lot of research prior to purchase and chose the GHL over the Apex. The best reviews are from those who currently use both systems or have personally used both systems... like @reefwiser above! In my research I only found a few people with both system experience, and all preferred the GHL system... so I went that route as well. Plus, I don't like the look of apex modules having to be purchased and mounted everywhere. GHL is mostly in one box that is expandable. Well, hopefully I can give you an up-and-running experience soon, lol. Keep an eye on my build thread... I'll try to keep it updated.
