Controller or Light?

Trying to decide whether I should get an Apex controller or the Photon 48 light?

The light has been redesigned, so there's a fear that the older version (I need the 47.5" version) will disappear. The new version won't fit my tank, and my canopy design is for the 47.5" version.

The controller is nice, but all I really have to control at the moment is the skimmer, 2 heaters, and my ATO, which is self controlled (Tunze3155).

Realistically it's more so what's needed, I would say lights but love my Apex controller.
