This is my issue as well. I like the implied simplicity of the Cerebra however, the Apex is tried and true(coding part concerns me). I don't care for the clunky looking controller for the Cerebra and I do like the fact that I could use a tablet for the monitor/screen for the Apex.

These were done awhile back so the screens are a little different now. Some things have been moved to different screens or enhanced since the videos.

Save and go with the new Apex. I really like the Apex gold that I have, and I have had not an issue. You Might as well buy once instead of twice costing you more.
