Aside from a lone rock island what is the best method for controlling zoa spread the tank? How do you trim it back and avoid any toxin in the water or air?

I have been placing aggressive corals on the borders thinking they would keep the spread in check. Will this work?

Thanks for any advice.

A lone rock island or a hungry angelfish.
I do have some on a lone rock and a dwarf angel. Just wondering about area where it is already spreading fast. I bordered it with bubble coral and mushrooms.

Not even my mushrooms have managed to put a dent in zoa spread for me. The only thing that worked was anchoring a rock flower adjacent.

I did have a rock flower on the border to and zoas didn't cover him. Same spot for 6 months. He packed his bag and left 2 days ago now. Not sure where he moved to.
