ConvertIng a 150 phosphor an reactor into an aglea reactor

Hey everyone, been looking at DIY videos of aglea reactors, they look easy enough to make and I have a 150 phosphor an reactor that I don't use. Is it a good idea to use the 150 or should I use something else ?? What are you're thoughts ? Thanks for you're input

I'd say depending on the bioload it would be a good fit for a tank up to 50 gallons, even larger if you harvest out your chaeto more often. I use the aquamaxx biopellet reactors for my algae reactors, a small one on a 29g and a large one on a 90; once a month maintenance.

It's a 150 gal tank, not heavily stocked I don't have any aglea in the tank at all, just want to aide my nutrients export. If it's to small what would you recomend. I want to keep it on the cheap side lol

It easy and cheap enough to just hook it and let it run to see if it will work for you. Running macro algae on an opposite light cycle provides other benefits as well. You don't need that much of a pump, I dialed back a mj1200 about 1/2 way and it seems to be good; some tubing and nothing fancy water proof led strip.
