So I've got a decent sized closet (2' x 5', with an adjacent hall to stand in) which I'm considering converting into an area to house all of my hardware (sump, pumps, etc) and a small frag tank (30" x 18" x 12") and would run my plumbing through the wall to my display. Has anyone else done this?

Would love to see any pictures of reef "hardware" / frag rooms or closets. Looking for ideas on how to set up my plumbing and RKE wiring / electrical.

Thanks in advance.

I have a similar area that I've been thinking about doing something similar with. The thing that I'm worried about is an area that small might collect too much moisture with out good ventilation. I'd like to see what you and others come up with.

Definitely something to consider. I figure the doors to the closet will be open a good majority of the time (if I don't remove them completely). I'm not necessarily trying to hide the hardware in this case, just looking to expand and have room to work.

I had my old tank like that, closet downstairs with sump and equip, a 4'' computer type fan 24/7 to cut down moisture and c02 issues, salt creep is a pita and its always where you can't reach so Id recommend
coroplast for the walls, its about $20 a 4x8 sheet, you always need more electrical than you can imagine so try to get at least a 20 amp circuit run in there,I liked it, it was sort of like my shrine to the bubble people lol

I was going to do a frag tank in a closet but i was told moisture might cause a problem.....Im sure there are many ways around it but im just doing a 30+gal frag tank................finally:xd:
