Does anyone know if it is possible to do what the subject indicates - convert a "stock" BRS dual reactor to a C02 scrubber? I think my only "issue" is the fittings. The dual reactor comes with 1/2" dual connect fitting but the tubing that runs to skimmer for the scrubber is 3/8". Is there a way to remove/replace the output fitting on the reactor to accommodate the smaller tubing, or do you all think it would be better/easier to use some sort of converter from 1/2" to 3/8".

Yepper, I did. I just converted from 3/8 to 1/2 and then again prior to the skimmer. The additional chamber helps with condensation when running in a recirculating fashion.

Do you recommend the recirculation? Currently I don't recirculate the air back through my scrubber but perhaps it is an idea worth exploring. Thanks a ton!

The fittings are a different size so you have to plan that.

I built a triple stage CO2 scrubber that I ran for almost a year before taking it offline.

What do you mean by the fittings being a different size? I bought some of these (link below) and figured it would be the correct size but I certainly have been mistaken on things like this before.
