I just got this convict tang and noticed the dot things on its side, does anyone know what it is or if it’s normal.

(Thats a really bad photo but I hope you can see it ok)

Convict tangs are notoriously bad QT’ers just FYI. They stress so easy, and I lost too many in QT. I got one from NYAquatic, put straight in the Display and he adapted fine, going strong probably 2 years now.

I would not suggest this unless you run a good UV and understand the risks of doing so.

You should see as Naso tang when introduced into a new tank...UGH!!! Talk about stress marks.

I get all of my fish from TSM Aquatics now.

Ageee. Mine was so thin when I got it. A few people told me it wont live. Two years later its fat and the policeman of the tank.
It keeps my 6 blue green chromis inline. I have had the chromis for over 2 years.
This is when I first got it, so skinny.
