Convince me not to buy this...

I feel like i have a sick addiction to corals. 80-90+ in my 135g.

Ive been saving up my mom for a new hobby i want to get in.. and im 100$ away from buying what i want to buy for that hobby... but omg. I went to my local fish store and they have this oretty large blue/purple with redish mouth goniopora.

Its 150$.. is this overpriced ? I want it so bad to comoliment my giant green goniopora.

I dunno if you guys can convince me to not buy it or not. But this is also the first time ive seen a blue purple one this size. Picture doesnt do it justice its palm sized with fingers extended.. seems to be short tentacle though

I love gonis so I'm the wrong person to ask. But it seems like a great deal. Figure a frag would run you 30-40 and that will be the size of a frag plug.

There are two corals I cannot keep past the year mark: Goniopora and Sun coral.

My last goniopora doubled in size over about 9 months. One morning it just shut down and was dead the next day. No clue what changed. You'd think my acropora would notice a change like that but nope... they still look like this:

W3ll the green goni ive had for only 2 months. And it looks like this today.. Its doing good. But the 24 polyp fingers on each tenta le dont extend like super long creepy fingers like in the store.. but its tentacles extend fully and the body inflates fully.. and the flesh seems fine..but i know 2 months isnt long.

I have a red one too.. but when i bought it..my mistake was not asking the store to wave the tentacles away to see the skeleton..and when i got home it was 60% dead. Hidden by the polyp extention.

Its still alive 2 months later.. but its been losing more and more in that time. But this blue ine is not like the red one. I wont make that mistake again.

I just dunno.. if i should buy it. I really want to buy the item for my new hobby but if i get this coral lol ill have to save up longer.

But i figure the odds of finding a blue.purple. red mouthed goni this size again are slim and thr nee hobby itll always be there... uhg i feel like a sick drug addict

Well is 150 overpriced for it this size. Its like a male hands size.. i guess 6 inchs accross ?

Well if it died immediatly sure lol but not if it died a year from now. Ive lost thousands in fish corals. Plants whatever in fresh and salt.. it sucks but i get over it.

Lol me too but because I kept buying expensive things that I should not have! I learned after 3 years!

It looks great. I would buy it in a heartbeat. $150 is a good price for that size.

I can’t keep Goni.
I have 5 year old corals but Goni, nope, lasts 6-7 months.
If theres a secret to these, fill me in.
