I have a 10G cube that is a mixed reef, and I’m looking to get some suggestions/ideas for cool and/or interesting inverts. Right now I have a cleaner shrimp, a couple hermits, 3 trochus snail, and a growing army of baby nassarius snails.

The only thing that is off the list is sexy shrimp. I have had bad experiences with them in the past. I know they’re very cool, but I just don’t trust them lol.

Thanks!

Red brittle star , my favorite starfish I have 3 of them in 40g lol

I think those might get just a bit too big for my tank, and I might not have enough live rock to keep it happy and hidden. I do like the idea of a sea star though!

Very mobile snails

What issues did you have with a sexy shrimp? One don't do anything but hang out in a rock? Have you looked at pom pom crabs?

The two sexy shrimp I’ve had in the past tore apart a birdsnest and wouldn’t leave a plate alone. It was a nightmare catching them.

I am picking up a frilly arrow crab tomorrow. Really cool creatures

I like fighting conchs. I have one in my 30 that’s getting pretty large

Pom pom crab, anemone crab, porcelain crab, pederson shrimp, yellow line shrimp.
Griessengers goby, and white cap gobies are super neat little fish as well.
You would probably have to remove the cleaner shrimp to add the 2 i suggested.
Everything listed has very neat personalities

I started a 13 gallon cube with 3 gallon filter section 2 months ago.
Personally I like my 3 Trimma cana gobies the most but the red legged hermits and pompom crab are short behind. I also have other hermits, 6 sexy shrimps and porcelain crabs and 2 Ecsenius bimaculatus.
Among my customers it is the Amphipods that get the largest interest! They feel safe and are out all day.
I plan to add other Trimmas and some other crab.
Corals are a beginning collection of Ricordea.

I have never had a problem with the sexy shrimps. As with all shrimps: Don´t starve them.
They move around on the rocks. Sometimes they are friends with less than an inch distance and sometimes they are a bit aggressive and hunt each other a few inches.
The Pompom crabs comes every evening when I feed in the downdimming blue light. In a tank without fishes they are more out in the light. Then they come out waving with their anemones as soon as You feed some plankton imitation.

I have three inverts that I really enjoy in my 10g: Porcelain Crab, Pom Pom Crab, and Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp. I particularly like the Porcelain Crab. Super chill, hangs out in my GSP, fans all day, never bothers a soul.
My candy cane is forever running out of the rock and building sand burns around the burrow. Fun to watch.

Peterson’s cleaner shrimp
Any of the squat lobsters that pop up on DD
Porcelain crab
Pitho crab
Pistol shrimp with goby pair
Grow some sticks and throw in an acro crab

TLDR all responses but I'm gonna do a 10-15G Mantis Only shrimp tank one day :) I'm excited for it in much a future sense lol.

Red brittle star , my favorite starfish I have 3 of them in 40g lol
A few (3 or 4) Sexy shrimp would be perfect for a tank that size IMO anyway. IDK if they'll be OK with skunk cleaner shrimp though I know CB shrimp will kill any smaller shrimp almost immediately (at least in my case it did).
