I picked up two of these bad boys.

They are really cool. The sponge is bright orange and the zoanthid snow white!

those are crazy, i would love to study their relationship
first time i saw it it reminded me of the blueberry gorgs
ive noticed these are getting imported a lot lately and was wondering if anyone has kept this long term yet? i wonder how hard it is to keep alive

BeakerBob picked up one similar to that at the GV swap...looks like fronsting drizzled over a bright orange sponge...

Great pic Tod.

In fact they're called White Lined Sponge(Australia) and they're very susceptible to algae growing on them so please ensure that your tank is algae free as possible. And plus in-direct water flow too!!
Other than that .... try feeding them Cyclopeeze, Rotifers etc.
Beautiful Spongelike specimen ...

Very nice... I know there is a version that shows up from the carribean but the polyps are a little more yellow....

Can't expose them to air either. Sponges are very susceptible to tissue damage when they come into contact with air. It enters their body and they can't expel it. The zoos should be tough as nails.

An update on these babies.

I have had them a little over two weeks now. With a gentle current the sponges stay nice and orange and the polyps are open almost all day long. Cyclopeez seems to be the food of choice.

I have sold one and have one going up on the site tomorrow. Just as nice but a touch smaller.

Very easy to keep so far.

Here is a pic of mine, I got it about 8mo. ago. Coming in from Australia, the first pic was right after I placed it in the tank.

This pic is after a couple days, just fed it with rotifers so the polyps are closing up.

I have had it for about 8 months now and the target feed it every 2-3 days with live rotifers and baby brine. I placed it out of the direct light after about 3 weeks and seems to be growing and happy.
