Cool sponge growing

This guy came in as an extra on an order of algae I bought last year. It was growing really slowly until I replaced my bulbs s couple of weeks ago. Now it is starting to extend plates. I think it may be an elephant ear sponge. Can anyone confirm or correct me on that?

Yes proper name is collospongia sp. , I believe that's what it is
