I got a mini colony of these today...they look like whammin watermelons...with a twist......light purple splashes and gold/green mouths

I would say the colors arestress related..but the only reason i kinda disagree is because....all of the baby polyps have the red body, and clear/green skirts...all mature polyps have red body with light purple splashes.if it were stress related wouldnt they all be one way or the other, or atleast dif. results no matter what age the individual polyps were?

Idk

Tell me what you think

LOL

I dont think these are rare,I have seen them 2-3 times locally, but the purple wasnt really purple, more normal red color, but that could be the lighting on either end,the white on them isnt anything new, this happens to alot of zoas.

Good luck!

Ok i new they where whammin watermelonish.but my other colony of whammin watermelons has 0 purple splashes?

I like those.... I would love to see if they keep the markings...they are just unique enough to be cool....

Nice find....

The colors can change a little from tank to tank. I've had a bunch of these before and after a few months they look just like WW
