Cooling fan

Hi all,

I am thinking about getting a cooling fan for my tank this year to help keep it more temp stable in the summer. I have a 180 with the Sump in the basement. If I put the fan on the Sump will it work as well as being on the tank? Sound is not an issue in the basement and it is usually cooler down there.
Also, any recommendations on a fan?

the fan will help bring the temp down without question, just keep in mind the evaporation rate. It will rise considerably....

A fan on the sump will work. Get a cheep fan as non of them hold up to the salt.
