I have 14 gallon nano tank. It has been around 91-93 degrees outside. in side tempature is around 81 during the day. My tank has been running 82 degrees, this causing my apex to power down my Kessil a360x. I am looking for an effectiv way of cooling my tank w/o having to get an expensive chiller. Unfortunately my AC sucks, and I do not have center air. I’m going to attempt keeping curtains shut and a fan running in the house for air circulation. I need some help. Thanks in advance

I have a fan that runs nearly 24/7 blowing air into the void between my LED and the top of the tank. I originally set it up to keep air moving in the area the tank is in, but I've found it helps pull cooler air to the tank and quickly dissapates the LED heat.
Do you have a recommended fan? System?

A temporary emergency fix is a bottle of frozen water or ice cubes in a ziplock bag. Like mentioned above a fan blowing across the surface will help. You could also flip your lighting schedule, lights off during peak heat and on at night when it’s cooler.

I had a reef back in the day that would run hot always. I had a few frozen water bottles that I would rotate and place in my sump.

81 is an acceptable max but one thing you can do is to obtain zip lock bags. You can buy a 30 pack for under $5. Place them in the sump, and use a size that will fit fine and the idea is to rotate them. fill about 5 of them with water and place in freezer. Place one frozen one in sump, allow to melt and lower temp. When it melts, pull a new frozen one from freezer and place melted one back in freezer
I currently use a chiller unit but this method will work

I use a 120mm or 140mm PC fan with a USB converter and speed controller. It’s setup as a chiller in my Hydros or Apex program plugged into an outlet. I use these mounts for the tank: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1027935462/

In addition you will need a “USB turbo fan power supply” and a Pc fan speed controller from Amazon.

I have used quite literally every aquarium fan product on earth at this point except the newer Tunze (I think it’s a Tunze) and this is the best option I found. The cheap ones on Amazon and petzilla or whatever are not great.

Spring for the industrial grade Noctua Fan.
