What kind of fans does everyone use to cool their stands. I'm thinking about cutting some holes in the back of my stand & adding some fans to cool it.

Haven't done it yet, but I found some fans that look like the CPU fans you find in your computer, but they plug into a regular 110v plug. Going to install them to keep air moving through my sump cabinet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009OWVUJ...t=&hvlocphy=1027966&hvtargid=pla-314819640925What kind of fans does everyone use to cool their stands. Thanks for the extra info, something to think about, it's not that my stand is that hot, I was thinking more about fresh air for the skimmer to help move CO21st... if your tank isn't getting too warm, or humidity causing you problems... don't. Running an electric fan, and thus causing your electric heater to run more often? What for?
Once that's said, if your tank is too warm, or the humidity in your stand higher than you'd like, then some sort of cooling or venting might be a good idea. You might try cutting a vent at the bottom and another at the top edge of the stand. If there's enough of a temperature difference between the room and the stand, the chimney effect alone might be enough to fix the problem.
Does it sound like I'm trying to discourage fans? Well, not really... but exploring other options is not a bad thing.
If a fan is needed, yes, a 110vac computer fan will work. They're generally cheap, noisy, and don't seem to last long.
Check out other options there, too... https://www.acinfinity.com has a fan designed for home entertainment cabinets. They're quiet, nice looking, controllable, likely to last longer, and not terribly expensive, as gear for this hobby goes, anyway.
Thanks for the infoI cool my canopy with 5 inch pc fans that plug in to a 110v outlet. Buy xtra, some dont last long
Bought mine off EBAY
Thanks for the infoI added this fan to my canopy and its pretty quiet, has good air flow, and seems decent quality for the price.
