When can you begin seeding a tank with copapods? I recently began a chaeto refugium and I’d like to be able to begin seeding my tank with copapods and assume I’ll just add them to the sump/refugium area but I’m wondering when you can begin adding them ?

Pretty much right away if you feed them.

Do they naturally get feed in an established tank or do you still need to add the phyto

I got some Tisbe pods from Algae Barn, they eat green algae off the rocks and glass. I started dosing phyto (OceanMagik) when I put them in, but now add Tetraselmis from a UK supplier called ZM Systems. I only have inverts in the display tank, so the population is thriving.

Think it depends on how much detritus, algae, etc. is in the tank. I think most reefers add some phyto

They do, but I think the babies will benefit from phyto. Will help keep the population up.
