There are various youtube videos that will help. You will also need to culture phytoplankton in order to feed the pods.

Hello,

Hope you have a refugium as this is a great place to keep and grow pods. I have also attached pictures of my pod set up as well as growing brine. If you have questions please feel free to ask. I would also suggest going to Reef Nutrition's web site as they are great with information and sell some of the best products on the market.

First pic has 3 different types of pods, Rotifers, Apex & Tigger has the light on it. Second pic is of Brine which I have 3 containers. Mature in the "tea" container, 1 for brine that are 1-2 weeks old and one for brine just hatching.

Tha k you so much thT gives me a good idea!

Here are my tigriopus californicus copepods. I culture them in 1 gallon glass jars with an air bubbler. Feed them a sprinkle of spirulina powder (Amazon) once a day to keep water tinted green. Sometimes I will sprinkle in some Reef Chili from BRS. This culture hasn’t had a water change in 2+ months.

I see clownfish has been having success with using my idea of spirulina powder. Here is my culture of Reef Nutrition Tigger Pods. I have bunch of videos up on YouTube. Check them out. I originally ran two 5g tanks. Tore them down and started a 20g. Still haven't got past 10g. I have been doing a little experiment with my tank trying to cycle the tank with only 2 dry rock and bubbles from the 5g air pump running through it.

Yes thanks 40B Knasty for the Spirulina idea. I’ve read before, for example The Plankon Manual, on how hatcheries have used spirulina to grow brine shrimp, but I never thought to try with copepods.

I’ve been considering doing this for a while myself. I like the idea of using a pickle jar and spirulina powder.

When you feed it to your tank to you add the water to the tank or do you filter out the pods?
