Copepod master or disaster happening?

Are these copepods everywhere? There has been a massive influx within a week. I also am going through a bacteria bloom so I’m wondering if they are thriving due to a copious amount of food available to them. Also, the coral aren’t stressed i just turned the lights on 30 min prior to the pic so they aren’t completely awake yet

You would not be not be able to catch copepods on camera like that. Think they are little snails, I forgot the name of them. I can see the curve of the shell when I expand the pic.

I agree they are not copepods you can usually see them in your sump filter bag if you have them. They are very small but visible

Not a real problem, they are just ugly. Just watch the population doesn't get out of control or you will have those shells everywhere in the tank.

As you mentioned, its probably just a population increase because of the bacteria bloom, something in there is feeding them. In a new tank, its not unusual for pest populations to rise and fall based on the food supply as the aquarium matures.

Spirobid worms Nuisance but not harmful. Had a food source and an open niche.
