Copepod or scarey invader? What is this?

It looked like a flatworm of some type on the glass, so I fished it out with my tank toothbrush. It is hard, has a shell. If it's a good guy, I'm sad, as I've not seen these before, and if it's bad, at least this one is out. Let me know! Thanks!

Looks like a limpet. Or a big isopod...
 
I don’t think it looks like a limpet, possibly a isopod?
 
Definitely isopod. The eye placement makes me think bad isopod. Did it curl up into a ball or was it only “half curled”. Ball = good. Half curl = bad.
 
Now I see what look like legs, definitely not a limpet sorry
 
I don't remember how tight it curled up, but it did pretty quickly when I got it out.
 
just remove any you see just in case they are the parasitic kind, no more beneficial than copepods you could get in a bottle
 
Found this pic.....in this group, actually, and this is exactly what it looked like in the tank! Chiton??? Seems to have mixed reviews on good or bad, but I donthave much algea at all, so we shall see!

Chitons are good guys. Don't you love finding new critters??
