Ok I started cycling my 72 gallon with 20 long sump with refugium with mineral mud and chaeto algae last Thursday. I'm using the live rock and live sand with dead shrimp and waiting 5 weeks for a water change to cycle my tank. I am going to buy a mix of 2000 amphipods and copepods to seed my tank for the future and wait a while to add any fish to give them a chance to flourish. When should I add these?

depending on how much live rock is being used and how long it was out of water, SW tanks usually cycle within 15-20 days- of course each tank is different. my 10G nano cycled out in 18 days and my 120 reef cycled out in 12 days. if i were you i would get some fish in there before you add the pods, only reason is so they have some food to munch on unless your gonna drip phyto( not recomended for new tanks) but that is just my .02$

I guess I got lucky. I got thousands and thousands of these. Actually I was just looking at them. There everywhere when I look at night.
