Hey guys,
What is the best way to add them to my mixed reef biocube? Looking for a steady food source for my tank inhabitants, I'll be going on vacation to Puerto Rico to dive on some reefs and really would like to have a healthy culture feeding while I'm away. Also, do I need both copes and amphipods or just one and not the other? I have 2 clowns, a 6 line, and a yellow prawn goby.
Thanks for reading

does the tank have an overflow area where you can put some chaeto or live rock rubble. This makes a good place for them to multiply. Usually when you order it comes with both check reefs 2 go they usually have a deal for 9.99 with free shipping .

I guess I could put chaeto in one of the back chambers perhaps just above the return so the pods can get returned into the display.

good idea and buy a little clip on led light from amazon about 5 bucks put on a timer so the chaeto will grow and you will have a mini fuge great for filtering.

I'll update on how that idea works, only concern would be the chaeto getting taken into the return accidentally.

You can turn the second chamber or others into a dedicated refugium

In my biocube I wedged 2 large balls of chaeto between the rock and the back wall, that way it gets standard tank light , fish can only access the very top of it, and I didn't take up any space in the back where I've already got extra filtering stuff. Added 2 high concentration bottles of pods at night with everything off, and now I have a TON, they are EVERYWHERE. Nom nom nom.

Get a large fish net. Put the cheato in the net. Suspend the net in the tank or in the overflow (i don't know your geometry) with the top of the net at or above the water level. Grow the pods in the net. They will escape into the tank through the netting mesh.

Presumably looks do not matter when you are away.
