I’ve been seeding my 20g tank with tisbe pods for a while. Usually nauplii. I haven’t really seen any during the day and last night I happened to glance into the tank at 1 am and to my surprise hundreds of pods were free swimming in the water! There were so many I was shocked. Of course my possum wrasse who I got them for is sleeping. So this morning when lights came on the pods are nowhere to be seen. Is it normal for them to hide and not be seen at all during the day and see hundreds free swimming at night? The ones I saw are all adults. This is unique I haven’t seen this before haha. Maybe spawning as well? I’m very interested to hear info on this! Thanks. -Cammi

If you look in a darker corner , low water moving area of the tank, you may see them during the day Your Possum Wrasse also looking for them during the day too so they hiding when needed. There will be less of them if you have one of their predator in then tank. I guest the ones that do not hide when the predator is hunting isn't going to stay around for long.

They tend to hide in the rock work during the day time. Like OrionN had said, they like the dark and low flow spots. I leave some algae in a corner of my tank just for that reason. They will stay in that spot all day while my madrid picks them off.
