First off, I never used frozen Mysis before.
I just broke a piece off a pack of frozen Mysis shrimp last night to feed my Manderins (Piscine PE Mysis)
This morning, I noticed a ton of white copepods floating in the water and all over my front glass.
My fish love them but....
Is it possible that the frozen shrimp had copepods in with them ?
Would this be normal?
What else is going into my tank if this is normal ?

I highly doubt the copepods could survive freezing. Most likely the right set of variables came into place at the right time allowing your already present pod population to boom.

Great news for your mandy :)

That's what I was thinking too....but WOW....
Maybe flash freezing the shrimp (-50*F with liquid nitrogen) put the copepods in a cryogenic state only to be revived when thawed out

Good idea, but copepods won’t survive freezing like that. They are too complex.

More likely just a happy coincidence

They may have come out to eat the mysis and have always been there.
