Copepods for diatoms

I have diatoms in tank mainly in the sand bed. Are copepods good for removing diatoms? Water parameters are
Ph-8.2

Nitrite-0

Nitrate-10

Ammonia-0

Mag-1400

Ca-410
Alk 9
No test for phosphate
 
Copepods are an amazing and diverse part of a reef tank. They eat a lot of the things that we call the uglies. There’s a part in this BRS video that shows the impact they can have on processing uglies and waste in a tank.
 
I had a decent bloom start and added acrocyclops from Pod Your Reef and began 5ml a day of phyto and within 4 days all diatoms were gone. And have been gone 2 weeks.
 
Majority yes but some they won't touch. Best to scope and identify what you have . You can get them cheap on Amazon and it's a Handy tool to have through out your reefing journey
