Copepods for saltwater and freshwater

I have a reef tank and a freshwater cichlid tank. I was successful in getting the copepods to live in my reef tank and are thriving. I also read that you can introduce copepods to freshwater tanks as well. Does anyone know if these are the same pods that we use in saltwater or are they different? I have looked for them online but have had no success in finding them.

I know that this is a saltwater aquarium forum, but just curious if anyone has knowledge and/or experienced this before.
