Hello.
I'm a little bit confused on this part of feeding. After using the search function and google I'm still coming up short on info.
I got a handful a chaeto and another type of macro algae from a buddies sump at a store. He brought it to me in a plastic bag as I was supposed to have my sump built, but I didn't So I clipped it to the top of my tank and let water come in and out of the bag, for a week before putting it into the refugium. Basically I set up my Refugium, had some issues with my return line falling on the floor (never hire me to plumb your house) so I disconnected the sump and left it sit for a week. So I wanted to know how or if my copepod population would die, I had a few crabs that ended up there and lived the week of neglect. . Also how do we initially get Copepods and amphipods? Do they grow on their own? Do they have to be introduced?
