Copepods out of water

Got some free chaeto macro algae from my LFS, ultimately I got the chaeto hoping to bring along some copepods but he did not supply any water in the bag. So my question is, even if the macro is out of water for say 30 minutes until I got home will there be any copepods left? Or most likely dead

They should be fine. As long as they're wet they can survive for a "while".

At the beach, I flipped over a rock that had been out of water for a few hours. In under it were dozens of copepods and isopods. They scurried to another rock and hunkered down until high tide which was a few hours away.
