So one moring I looked at my tank and the glass was covered in copepods which my clowns were having a hay day picking them off the glass. I have no idea where they came from and l know they are beneficial but they are kind of anoying when they cover the glass. Is there any way to control these guys or do I just have to deal with them?

Scrub them off the glass if you’re tired of seeing them. You won’t hurt them either they’re pretty hardy! In my experience they go through book-bust cycles based on how much foods in the tank. Once their food source (detritus) is handled they’ll slowly dwindle down.

How old/big is your tank? If it's relatively young (less than a year), then it's jus a copepod bloom that will go away eventually. But like Creggers said, they'll go through boom-bust cycles based off of food. You can feed your tank less/siphon out more detritus in order to break this cycle!

You could also buy a pod eating fish like a wrasse (NOT a dragonet or a leopard wrasse, those are more difficult to keep without the proper care and research).

The tank is a ten gallon and only about two months old so its pretty much stocked to its max for fish. I guess i'll just have to wait it out.
