I have currently thousands of pods in my tank i mean they are just polluting the dang thing i started them in my hang on the side refugium that is currenlty growing sea lettuce in. Will the pods eat the lettuce and algae in the tank or should i continue feeding them the zooplankton that came with the pods (that green stuff in the bottle)

The majority of pods will graze on decaying plant matter but need the majority of their nutrition to come from phytoplanktons that are easier to consume.

i see so basically i should start culturing plankton too for the copepods to live and stick around in the tank!

I find culturing phyto to be simple (if you haven't tried before start with Nannochloropsis oculata) and cheaper than buying a mix. But the downside is you only get one strain of phyto verse the blend of products like @Reef Nutrition PhytoFeast.

Phytoplankton will cause their numbers to skyrocket. Copepods are zooplankton. What was in the bottle is phytoplankton. Zooplankton is non photosynthetic. They don't need phyto dosing to live in the tank but it keeps their numbers large.
