Copods and UV

Hello guys I have copods in my sump amd thinking of installing a UV. Will the UV kill off my copods?

You mean in a refugium? Some, yes (depending on the sterilization level and how you have everything configured).

Most use UV in display. Why in sump? To hide it?

I run uv in one of my sumps. Supply from the first chamber exits to the return chamber. I have plenty of pods. I can't say the uv does not kill any but if it does it's not enough to matter it my set up.
