How often do I need to replenish copepods in my tank? I have one small mandarin goby, and I can see copepods with a flashlight at night. I feed them every other day with plankton. Mandarin is happy and doing well, but just not sure if I should buy more copepods once in a while or if the population is self-sustainable.

In a good system your pod population should be self sufficient. It also depends on tank size and any other food competitors of your mandarin. If you want peace of mind it wouldn't be a bad idea to supplement the tank maybe even once a month ~Shaun K.

Hey! I got my pods from that guy ^^. My population is booming. If you have a refugium, that's a safe place for them to sustain their numbers and you shouldn't have to supplement much or any at all. You're feeding them and can see their numbers when you're looking for 'em (at least on the glass).
