Can I run other treatments with my Copper? Or should I do one at a time?

I think it's safe to use prazipro with copper but I'm not 100% sure. It's generally a better practice to do most treatments independently unless necessary. One thing that I can say for sure is that prazi will greatly reduce the oxygen content in the water, I've had to make an emergency intervention with a fish that was suffocating and if I had been running copper at the same time it would have been much more difficult to deal with

I don't recommend combining medications. However, you can slowly dose cupramine over 3-4 day period, raising to therapeutic level of .50ppm. Get solid copper tester. I like Hanna Checker, its the easiest to read.

Once your fish is acclimated and are accepting food, you can add API GC recommended dose which also contains Prazi and technically can be combined with cupramine worse case. Make sure you elevate the flow at the surface to produce more oxygen while being treated.

Whats going on??? The more info the better we can help.

I just read a post by @ngoodermuth, she stated that they can be used together but it's not advised because the combination can cause a bacterial bloom that will lower o2 more than prazi alone. Probably best not to unless absolutely necessary.

And +1 for more info

This^^ If absolutely necessary, it can be done but you are going to want to go over kill with aeration. At least one powerhead aimed at the surface and an air-stone or two.

If the water becomes cloudy and it’s been at least 24 hours since dosing the prazi, do a 25-50% water change. Make sure to dose copper to the new water before it hits the tank.

Otherwise, if it can wait... I prefer to do one and then the other.
