Copper API Test Kit With Cupramine

The color does not look right for this test? Does the Copper API Test Kit work with Cupramine?

Or, should I even test? I dosed 1.75ml to 20gal which should be less than the recommended dose of 1ml per 10.5 gallons.

Any suggestions here?

I would use the Seachem copper kit. API will give false readings if I recall.

The issue is there are two types of copper...I don’t recall names, but kits have to read the right kind. Whatever you choose, verify it will work. Copper levels too easy to mess up to leave for chance.

Will that be a cure all for everything? I just lost a ton of fish to velvet and I plan to not only QT every fish from now on but treat them as well whether they are symptomatic or not

No, copper will not cure everything. It will help with ich, velvet. It will do nothing for internal pathogens.
I follow @HotRocks qt method
30 days in therapudic copper while feeding food soaked in general cure and seachem focus for 2nweeks. Then water change to bring them out of copper. Once copper is to undetectable dose prazipro by the recommended amount. Wait a week. Do a 25% water change and dose another round of prazi. Once that's done your quarantine is complete
