Guys, I have done Copperband fish in a freshwater dip after 5 mints I put him in QT but he is in the bottom of the tank does not move anywhere breathing heavily. this is normal or will he die?

I have this Copperband fish in my QT over 16 days now just want to do freshwater dip just to inspect if there is any parasite or fluke.

Was pH and temp matched for the dip? How long has he been back in the QT? The fish will usually take a few minutes to color back up and act normally.

when i got him he had ich so i treat him with copper after 14 days he was healthy and eating very well. then i notice he got fluke. yesterday so i want give him a freash water dip. yea @tdileo all are same level good to go i dipped other fish as well they all seems fine. only copperband giving me this issue.

I assume you mean that after 14 days in copper you next transfered him into a seperate sterile tank (i.e., rather than continuing on for a total of 30 days copper)? That being so, and he was looking good and back to eating, I can sort of understand why you tried the freshwater dip... but they say the Copperbands are very fragile fish. Maybe General Cure or PraziPro would have been a better route for possible flukes. Hope he makes it! ;)

Sorry, but I figured he would. Copperbands hate quarantine and especially fresh water dips.
