What's on my copper bands fins? It started showing up a few days ago. None of my other fish have this and he's eating great. The past 2 days I've added metroplex and garlic to the mysis, brine, cyclopod, rotifer frozen food mixture i feed daily.

I've had him for a week now. My lfs qt him for me, get him home and less than 48 hours that showed up on his fins. But he's acting fine and eating really good. It looks like the metroplex is helping but do you have any treatment plans? I've heard a cleaner shrimp could help too.

There is no treatment for lympho but it generally is not fatal to the fish. The only way it can kill the fish would be if it would spread to some place like the gills or mouth. It is a viral infection and with proper diet and water conditions will go into remission and the nodules will go away, although the fish will always still have the virus.
The nodules will appear when the fish is stressed, which in your fishes case was likely brought on by being moved to your tank if the fish is eating well.

I agree with the statement above. My copperband had the same issue when I got him. The problem cleared up within two or three weeks with good feeding and peaceful conditions in my reef tank. That was almost three years ago. My copperband is doing great as I type this as he spends the day on patrol for aptasia. So hopefully you will have the same success.

just want to echo what others have said- looks like lympho. My CB had the same thing for a bit. It didn’t seem to have any effect on him and it eventually went away.

Pretty much same story here. Lympho very common in cbbs

Youll likely find that he still has it however he has managed to live with it without any downside affects.

Thanks for all of yalls help! It got worse a couple days after i posted the original post but after a good diet and getting use to the tank he's looking better. I've heard a cleaner shrimp will help, is this true?

Don't think they would help. Just time and good diet and living w/ stress free tank mates is the remedy. I had a yellow longnose with a huge lympho breakout and after about a month all gone.
