Is there any way to get copper out of live rock? Vinegar?
I don’t think vinegar is strong enough but have heard of an acid bath. It dissolves the outer layer of the rock. Requires a lot of safety precautions. Not something I’m willing to mess with.

Water changes multiple times has worked for me in the past. As you reduce the copper concentration in the water column by doing the water changes. Copper will start to move out from the rocks to the water column. Another method is using carbon.

depends i dosed my 150 with cupramine and had pretty good luck getting it out with cuprisorb and polyfilters zip tied to my powerheads and big water changes

Water changes is good for quickly reducing the copper concentration and I agree it's not cheapest method but this method what I use for fast results. If you are not in a rush to remove the copper, the used a copper removing media or carbon would suffice.

It will certainly drop copper in the water rapidly. It will take many, many water changes to adequately remove it from rock. It's like trying to reduce phosphate by water change. Sounds good. End of the day, not so good.

Just run cuprasorb. My copper was at .19 from a bad ro membrane. An ATI water test caught it. Cuprasorb took care of it. My tank is packed with sps.

I'd suggest keeping the cuprisorb around a while even if the levels are lower to take up what comes off the rock and sand. :)

I run it at all times as i also had a prob holder magnet fail on me and I feel the only thing that saved my tank was the fact I had it in my Reactor.
