Copper in marine tank bad or good

My copper Hanna checker u did twice. Both readings showed 0.11 on the Hanna copper test. Is this good or bad. I mostly have fish that are all healthy and some soft coral. Two frags mushrooms very small. What should I target.

Coral Can tolerate Very little trace of copper- Inverts- NO. If you plan on running a reef with some corals- Add a pouch of Chemipure blue or Lab grade carbon to run into safe level.
Target 0 literally unless tank is Fish Only
If you read package, it should say Do not add to tank with invertebrates and coral

My understanding is that copper in a fish only tank is okay as it's treating for any potential outbreaks of fish diseases. I know elevated levels of copper will kill invertebrates - they don't mix well. As for corals as with any metal, too much of it is going to kill your corals. If you're not dosing copper to fight fish infection I would shoot for 0.

As said above copper is not good in a reef tank, assuming the reading is actually correct, but welcome as well!

I assume you treated the tank with copper at some point. If not, you should also determine the source of the copper to prevent future problems. I once had a problem where copper leached from a brass fitting in my sump plumbing. (* I should have known better).
