I heard different things from different people so I'm going go ask what worked well for you guys. I got 10g QT tank with HOB with sponge and 3 puremarine balls and pvc. I want to QT melanarus erases. I had the fish for 2 + week just observing it and no signs of disease so far. I didn't does anything. My question is what is therapeutic does of cupramine to QT fish? Some say .5 some day .25. Does the level depends on fish since some more sensitive to than others? Also will my puremarine media ball absorb any copper ?

.5ppm is where you want to be but you need to build it gradually otherwise if could have ill effects on your fish. It will kill any corals and inverts.

I would dose it over 3-4 days bringing it to the appropriate .5ppm and hold it there for a minimum of 4 weeks if trying kill ich or velvet.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Cupramine is ionic copper. It's harder to dose accurately, and has a narrower therapeutic range with increased risk of toxicity.
Wrasses and some other fish also show increased sensitivity to ionic copper.
Better to switch to chelated copper like Copper Power. Gradually raise the level to 2.0 ppm.
Check your level with the Hanna high range copper checker. You need an accurate test to keep the level at 2, but not much higher or lower.
Marine Pure might absorb some copper. Use the Hanna checker and adjust if necessary.

I'm trying to QT new incoming fish and I want to have a process that's effective on all fish and is safe. I did invest into hanna copper checker. I'm still new and was told that cupramine was good but I'll look into copper power

I like cupramine over copper power. I guess it is just preference but I have used many times and it has always worked well for me.

Since you have the Hanna check, you're good to go!
