My copper levels on Thursday were 1.87. Today it increased to 1.91. I started QT on the 13th. I haven’t topped off the tank or did a water change yet. Is it normal to increase like that? Checking with Hanna so much better.

The Hanna's accuracy is +/- 0.05. So that's normal for the readout to vary a bit. ;)
This^^^ Also if you haven't topped the tank off yet, the Cu level will rise as water evaporates. The copper stays in the water so same amount of copper + less water = increased Cu level.

I was wondering about that. Now I’m afraid to top it off too much. Maybe I will do a small water change dose copper first so it doesn’t drop. I also found I required more copper than the charts said that were posted. I am using a HOB filter with a sponge and bio max. Perhaps the bio max absorbed some.

Usually top off first with RODI. Wait 30 minutes or so for complete mixing of the water column, then test.
