Hi, I am using cupermine as my choice of treatment. I was wondering what a therapeutic level for copper is. My QT tank is showing 05-.06 and I have a angel in there. I was wondering if that's a good level or should I raise it. I looked on all other threads and I cannot find this info.

.5 is therapeutic for cupramine. It’s pretty important you don’t let it go higher than it is now for your fish’s sake, but you also do not want it to drop below .4 and restart the treatment clock.

Therapeutic level for Cupermine is .5ppm best checked with a Seachem or Salifert test kit :)

I forgot to mention that I have some live rock (not alot) in there. Would that affect the testing at ll?
Yes. I would remove the live rock. Rock is porus and can absorb copper potentially dropping your levels out of therapeutic range.

Those will work. I highly recommend anyone treating with copper to invest in a Hanna copper checker with plenty of refills. Your fish will appreciate it!

Is this the hanna tester your referring to?

i highly recommend the hanna checkers, i use to use cupramine and regular test kits and always felt like i was guessing and then add the tight window of therapeutic levels of cupramine on top of that and i was basically just hoping for the best and keeping the levels a little high just to make sure. Once i got the hanna checker and switched to copper power i feel a lot more confident in what im doing
